Now Accepting Applications for Scholarships and Youth Tour
A new year brings new opportunities for high school seniors and juniors attending school in the OREMC service area—Brantley, Camden, Charlton, Glynn, Ware and Wayne counties in Georgia; and Baker and Nassau counties in Florida—to apply for scholarships or a trip of a lifetime as an OREMC Youth Tour delegate. The 2025 application deadline for both programs is Monday, January 20.
Ten $2,000 Scholarships Offered
OREMC annually awards 10 scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each. Applicants for the OREMC Scholarships must reside in one of the eight counties included in OREMC’s service area. Applications are available online at oremc.com/scholarships.
- Applicants for the OREMC Scholarship are not required to reside in a household served by OREMC, but must live in the service area. Students of OREMC employees are also eligible.
- The OREMC Scholarship funds may be used at any accredited college, university, or technical school (not restricted to Georgia) in the U.S.
- Applicants may be either a high-school senior or an undergraduate college or vocational/technical student. Non-traditional students are also eligible to apply.
Youth Tour Offers "A trip of a lifetime."
The 2025 National Washington Youth Tour, a week-long, all-expenses paid, leadership experience in the nation’s capital is scheduled for June 13 - 20. Delegates will make memories while being immersed in monuments, museums and memorials. Annually OREMC sponsors four students to participate in the National Washington Youth Tour, traveling with over 100 students from Georgia/Florida and connecting with more than 1,000 from all over the United States.
Interested students must submit a completed application, attach two letters of recommendation and a short essay explaining why they are interested in the Youth Tour experience. Applications are available online at oremc.com/youth-tour.
